Michael has extensive experience in commercial real estate
and entrepreneurial business management. He is a daily consultant
for real estate professionals in the investment community.
His expertise ranges from real estate financial structuring,
project feasibility, and acquisition analysis to long-term
tax strategies. For over nine years Michael has worked with
successful entrepreneurs, Wharton MBAs, top executives, as
well as market leading commercial real estate firms. Michael’s
extraordinary network of investment real estate professionals
is an integral component of the Touchstone process.
Through the late nineties Michael experienced the fast pace
of entrepreneurship with the multimedia marketing firms Applied
Imagination, Orange Rectangle Labs, and Digital Frontier where
Inntopia, Inc. was incubated. Inntopia was the first online
lodging reservation system, which was acquired by Unexplored,
Inc., backed by venture capital in the luxury travel market.
Michael worked throughout the mergers & acquisitions in
creative management, business development, and marketing.
Michael started his own company and consulted for top management
at Calvin Klein in New York City to mange their first Internet
presence in 1998. At Newsweek, he also worked on their online
marketing launch with executive producers in NYC. Chase Bank
was also among the portfolio of successful companies and corporate
accounts.
He has led teams of consultants for high-growth and market
leading companies, as well as successfully inspiring people
to work at optimum performance in a dynamic team environment.
Michael lends his expertise to growth companies in the markets
of real estate investment, community development, and online
technologies. At the core of Michael’s experience has
been the essential element of building strong relationships
with integrity.
Michael holds a B.A. in Interactive Marketing & Communication
from the University of Vermont. He also attended programs
at New School University in New York City, as well as studied
the Peter Linneman’s real estate finance and investment
programs of Wharton. Michael has a mission to empower communities
with ethical and environmentally conscious development. When
Michael is not sitting in NYC traffic, he enjoys golf, skiing,
architecture, and sculpture.
John Patmor
Managing Partner
Touchstone Ventures
John has a wealth of experience in real estate investment
and business growth. He has been a part of buying, operating,
and managing properties with great success. His knowledge
of real estate acquisitions is a very important element for
Touchstone. John has worked with rental properties, self-storage
and car wash businesses with excellent results.
He started his investment career with Solomon Smith Barney
and was assigned to the Cooper Network, providing investment
services to retirement clients, IRA clients, and high net
worth individuals. John also worked with the 401K financial
services company Invesmart, where he provided consultative
solutions for small and medium size business owners on how
to implement their growth structure.
John has been a director of corporate training for hundreds
of representatives across the country for market leading companies.
Also as the director for the New York City office, he operated
an office of over 30 people in all levels of management. John
was responsible for recruiting, training and managing the
office into the second largest and most successful in the
country.
A long term vision of his is to launch the Rent To Invest
program, empowering lower income families with a way to build
equity through renting. His innovative program brings together
both high rates of return for investors while also accomplishing
his purpose to train interested individuals to become financially
stable and inspired.
As a graduate from the University of San Francisco, John has
a Bachelors of Science degree in Business Finance. He also
holds a series 65 license as a Registered Investment Advisor.
John has a mission to inspire people to invest in themselves
and real estate through a commitment of education. While John
thrives in the great city of San Francisco, you can also find
him enjoying golf, soccer, wood-working, and cinema.
